The Care We Offer

By caring for children in their own homes, we aim to enable children and their families to maintain a better quality of life during periods of ill health and to avoid any unnecessary admissions to hospital.

Our skilled nurses will assess your child and agree a plan of care to best meet their needs. This may include:

  • Support and advice about how to best manage the illness
  • Intravenous antibiotics
  • Injections at home
  • Gastrostomy management
  • Central line care
  • Tracheostomy management
  • Oxygen monitoring
  • Stoma care, including urinary stomas and bowel management
  • Pre and post-surgical care
  • Wound care
  • Tube feeding support and training

How To Make a Referral

If your child has a nursing need, which can be safely managed in the home or community environment, they can be referred to the Children’s Community Nursing Service via their GP or another healthcare professional. They will need to be registered with a GP practice in Norwich, north or south Norfolk.
