The
Norfolk Looked After Children and Young Person Health Service is a team of doctors, specialist nurses and administration staff with a specialist interest in promoting the health needs of looked after children and young people. Our overall aim is to improve health inequalities and promote healthy outcomes.
We offer a health service to looked after children and young people; children and young people who have been in the care of their local authority (county council children services) for more than 24 hours. This includes unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC).
The Looked After Children Health Service receive requests from the local authority to complete health assessments for children and young people in care aged 5 to 18 years living in Norfolk and is a statutory service.
