Supporting our Young People with Challenging Behaviour

Psychology in Schools Team - NSFT

In this workshop we will explore child behaviour that parents or teachers find challenging to manage, such as: hyperactivity, difficulties with attention, aggression, difficulties with friendships and relationships and irritability. We will cover practical strategies to help manage these behaviours positively. This workshop may be helpful for parents who have concerns around possible ADHD in their young person.

Lets Talk About Your Pelvic Floor - During Pregnancy Session

This session is for all those in Norfolk & Waveney who are pregnant or have had a baby within the past year.

Learn about your pelvic health including how to manage common issues in pregnancy such as leaking with wee and constipation. The team will talk about pelvic floor exercises and other self-help information, such as eating well and exercising during pregnancy.

If you have any questions that you would like to put forward to the team ahead of the session, please add these to your booking form.

Supporting our Young People Manage Big Feelings

Psychology in Schools Team - NSFT

As our children grow, they experience many changes in themselves and the world around them. During this time, our children will feel a variety of feelings which they do not know how to manage. This workshop is aimed at parents of young people aged up to 11 as we breakdown what leads our children to have these feelings and ways in which we can support them to manage if they become overwhelming.

Childhood Neurodiversity: Supporting Language and Communication

Psychology in Schools Team - NSFT

This programme of free virtual workshops will explore nurturing the unique strengths of neurodivergent children and young people and provide advice and guidance on how to support them with the challenges they face. Any parent or carer is welcome to join regardless of whether their child has a diagnosis.

This workshop will discuss language and social communication, including how parents/carers can support their children to communicate. This workshop will be co-delivered with the integrated Community Paediatric Services Speech and Language Therapy team.

At this interactive information session, for parents and carers of 0-5s in Norfolk, you will find out about:

  • How to find the most suitable car seat for your vehicle
  • Fitting a car seat correctly
  • Identifying the safest position in your car for your child's seat

There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions right through the session.
