Living Well With Baby

26th July - 10:00 am

Being a parent can bring with it joys as well as challenges.  This workshop is for parents with a baby where the stresses of the parenting role is impacting on their wellbeing. 

The workshop will look at all the changes which happen during this time and explore how these changes can leave people stuck in a negative cycle.  It also offers strategies on how to break this cycle in order to manage low mood and worry.

Sail Away - Summer Family Challenge

28th July - 10am

This fantastic FREE online session will help support your child to sow, grow & know with some exciting nature-themed activity ideas!

Become a Craftsperson/Engineer and create your own miniature sailboat using a variety of recycled materials. Have an adventure after the session and see if your boat floats and can be powered by the wind. Where will it take you?

This session is designed for parents/carers and their children aged 2 to 11 years, taking part together.

Explore your neighbourhood - create a Teddy Trail

30th July - 10am

This FREE online session will help support your child to sow, grow & know with some exciting nature-themed activity ideas!

Become an explorer and design a treasure trail for teddy in your neighbourhood. Teddy wants to explore and see all the sights!

Can you help him to get prepared with a map of the trail and a bag to collect interesting items along the way? Decorate your trail bag with images of what you like about living in your neighbourhood. Join us to learn how to create a teddy treasure trail map and bag to set your family off on a local adventure. You will be able to get creative, with all the family designing a route and then have fun finding items and facts about your area.

This session is designed for parents/carers and their children aged 2 to 11 years, taking part together.

Green Space - Summer Family Challenge

3rd August - 10am

This fantastic FREE online session will help support your child to sow, grow & know with some exciting nature-themed activity ideas!

Prepare to explore a local green space with all your senses by making a journey stick and sensory book.

We will decorate a stick and/or a simple homemade book which will record our exploration into a green space with the natural objects we find there.  You might find feathers, leaves, stones, wood bark, all of which can be collected and added to our stick or book.

Join us to prepare for your exploration. Take quality time out with your family to stop, look, listen, record and learn more about a local green space.

This session is designed for parents/carers and their children aged 2 to 11 years, taking part together.

Adjusting To Parenthood

4th August - 10:30 am

Having a baby is an amazing time, but it can be tiring! Even when expectant mothers and fathers feel prepared to have a baby, the reality of frequent crying, nappy changes, and sleepless nights is often overwhelming. Even for those with multiple children, it can continue to be difficult to understand just how much life will change after having a baby… until it happens.

This hour long session is co-delivered by experienced health visitors and psychological therapists trained to treat common difficulties that most of us experience at points. 

This group aims to support you by:

– Giving a space for you to talk to other parents and to feel less alone with this experience and signpost to further support

Healthy Relationships ( Couples, Children, Teenagers & Families)

6th August - 3:00pm

The workshop gives lots of ideas and tips for how to create and sustain healthy relationships and talks about all sorts of relationships and is suitable for people of all ages, backgrounds and sexual orientations interested in how they can strengthen their relationships.

The workshop is in three parts:

  1. Creating relationships / Developing Family “Systems”
  2. Common problems and coping with difficult situations
  3. Tips for effective communication
