The project was created to promote self-care and brought together the expertise of NHS Norfolk Children and Young People’s Services, Eastern Academic Health Science Network, Best Beginnings (Baby Buddy app creators) and Norfolk County Council.
Sian Larrington, Head of Service, Norfolk Children and Young Peoples Services stated:
“We are thrilled to be launching JustOneNorfolk.nhs.uk in time for national self-care week next week. I have to really champion the families, clinicians and partners that helped to create this incredible platform. It is a local resource, based on local need, which has really been created as a local community.
To have a well-known community figure such as The Lord Mayor, Councillor Martin Schmierer, visit our team in Norwich has been a great addition to our promotional launch. Hopefully this will encourage more families to pop in and see our team in the Castle Mall – we are there until Sunday”
Sarah Nolasco, Self Care Programme Manager, The Eastern Academic Health Science Network stated:
“We are extremely proud to be supporting this innovative new resource for children, young people and parents in Norfolk. We hope that it will be a much utilised digital community hub that will help people to better understand young people’s health and wellbeing, the support services available and importantly, how to self care.”
