COVID-19 - Birth Registration
'Can I register the birth of my baby during the coronavirus outbreak?'
Parents are now able to register the birth of their child again.
In Norfolk adjustments have been made to Registrar offices, to make sure they meet social distancing rules to keep families and staff safe.
You can *Click Here* to notify Norfolk County Council of the birth of your baby. This does not mean that the birth is registered. Norfolk County Council will then contact parents to arrange an appointment to register the birth.
Birth registrations that are delayed by lockdown restrictions will be undertaken in date order, starting with those born earliest.
*Click Here* for up to date information from Norfolk County Council about about registering births.
You will be able to make a claim for child benefit or universal credit prior to the birth being registered during this period.
